Supporting Mothers, Strengthening Communities

Pregnancy should be a time of support, not stress - but for many women in rural Arkansas, especially those living with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), that’s not the reality.
Too often, expectant mothers face overwhelming barriers: no local OB care, no reliable transportation, no prenatal screenings, and no help navigating the Medicaid process. That’s why ARMOR is stepping in with new maternal health services designed to meet women where they are.

Mobile Clinics, Expanded Care
ARMOR’s mobile clinics now offer on-site ultrasound capabilities, thanks to portable equipment that allows our providers to perform essential prenatal exams right inside the mobile unit. No long drives. No waiting rooms. Just safe, supportive care that comes to you.
This expansion is part of our mission to ensure that pregnant patients with SUD receive timely, compassionate care, and that their babies get the best possible start.
More Than Medicine: Support for the Whole Journey
Beyond clinical services, we’re providing the practical tools and resources pregnant patients need to feel safe, seen, and supported:
Maternal resource backpacks, filled with prenatal supplies, safety items, and wellness materials
Connection to OB care, with warm handoffs to providers for continued pregnancy support
Assistance with Medicaid enrollment, helping patients gain access to coverage for essential services
Thanks to State of Arkansas grant funding, these services are already reaching some of the most underserved parts of the state, and making a real difference.

Breaking Barriers, Building Trust
For many pregnant women with opioid use disorder, fear of stigma or losing custody of their child can be a powerful deterrent to seeking care. That’s why ARMOR focuses on meeting patients with dignity, privacy, and trust.
We don’t just provide care - we build relationships. Every patient is welcomed without judgment and supported with an individualized plan that includes addiction medicine, primary care, mental health support, and now, prenatal services.
Because healthy pregnancies start with access, and access starts with trust.

A Healthier Future for Mothers and Babies
ARMOR’s mobile maternal health services are still growing, but the impact is already clear: more women are receiving the care they need, earlier in their pregnancies, and with fewer barriers.
We’re honored to walk alongside these patients on their journey, and we’re committed to expanding these services as we grow.
